Building Designers Australia (BDA) hosted a stand at the Sydney TAFE Open Day where prospective students can find information on TAFE courses. BDA provided information on training to become a building designer and promoted building design as a profession. The stand was attended by Annaleisa Hampshire, Justin Strauss and Susan.

As a TAFE NSW Ambassador, Susan was a guest speaker at the Sydney TAFE Student Excellence Awards.

Minister for Education Adrian Piccoli has launched the Made by TAFE NSW campaign, which celebrates success stories from TAFE NSW and recognises the positive contribution that TAFE makes to communities across NSW. "Every year 500,000 students enrol in TAFE to learn new skills and improve their opportunities in the workplace. It's appropriate to acknowledge their input in the community and TAFE NSW's role in their education," Mr Piccoli said.

Susan has joined the teaching staff in Building Studies in a part time position, teaching the Certificate IV building students at Sydney TAFE. This course is the first step for students pursuing a builders licence qualification.

Susan was invited to speak at an information day for career advisors held at Sydney TAFE.
