Toxteth Terrace

A modern and functional interior complementing the timeless exterior.

While the exteriors of 19th century terraces can be described as timeless, the same cannot be said for the interiors, in particular kitchens and bathrooms. This grand terrace in Toxteth Estate is such an example. A narrow passage connected the formal dining and lounge rooms at the front of the house to the rear kitchen/casual living room which was itself discontinuous due to varying floor levels. These rooms were gutted and the floor adjusted to be on a single level which led to a new deck.
